Does Crosshair X work on Steam Deck or console?
Crosshair X and the other CenterPoint Gaming apps are built for Windows only. Here's what that means for the most common devices people ask about.
Steam Deck
Not supported out of the box. The Steam Deck runs a Linux-based OS by default, which is why you'll see an error like "A JavaScript error occurred in the main process" if you try to launch it. The app would only work if you install and run a full Windows installation on the device.
PlayStation, Xbox & other consoles
Not supported. Crosshair X and Crosshair V2 are PC/Windows apps only — there's no console version, so they can't be installed or used on PS4, PS5, Xbox, or similar. This applies to overlay-based crosshair software in general, since consoles don't allow third-party overlays.
What does work
Any Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC (desktop or laptop) will run Crosshair X, including handheld Windows gaming PCs. If your device runs Windows, you're good to go.
